Bangkok Shopping Trip - Day 3

Day 3 - 27 May 2019 Monday

Summary
  1. Pratunam Market
  2. The Platinum Fashion Mall
  3. Palladium World Shopping Mall
  4. Palladium Night Market
  5. Neon Night market
  6. Dinner @ Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice
  7. The Market

7.30 am - We went to Pratunam Market.

There were earrings that sold 1 for 20 baht, 6 for 100 baht. There were big fruits and foods design.

We started shopping at stalls inside shops before walking out to stalls outside. Most fashion were staples, basic clothes. There were jeans, scarfs and hats stalls.

We saw a fake two piece overall that look not bad. But after considering for a while, we decide to give it a miss.

The clothes sold here were indeed cheaper than Platinum Mall. However, I'm not sure was it because we didn't come early enough, but the price was only a bit cheaper and not a lot.

Though there were many clothes but they weren't of the current fashion style nor were there any unique and special design.

By 9 am, we saw some stalls near the road, at the back, opposite direction of Platinum Mall, closing down.

9.15 am - Platinum Mall

    Platinum Mall
The mall was opened but many shops were not opened yet. I would suggest going after 10.30 am.

The foodcourt at level 6 is opened already so we went there for our breakfast. The garlic bread we ate in the morning was not filling.
    Wanton
    Pad Thai
    Crab Meat Fried Rice
The Pad Thai was nice, but noodle too little, bean sprouts too many.

We went shopping and saw the Koala's March mango biscuit that only sell in Thailand was sold at Chokdee & Meechai for 150 baht for 2. I don't really like this, but if you really want to buy as souvenir, buying from here was cheaper than in Big C (100 baht for 1).

    Mango Milk Tablet

We went shopping. There was one dress that we saw it previously at Chatuchak that sold at 100 baht. The store sold dress that was quite nice, some have oriental
style. We didn't buy cause the length was a bit short for me. Overall, the price was also a bit more expensive and there wasn't any new pieces.

Platinum mall do have a lot of stores. There were many shops selling clothes. There was shops that sell t-shirts with cute design, like superheroes bump into mirror.

There were shoes shop, but I prefer the style in Bugis Street instead. The cheap slippers were too hard and width was small. The small handbags design were nice though.

There were shops that sold earrings, 1 for 20 baht (S$0.90). We bought a few.

Lunch was at food court again.

80 baht Fried rice crab meat were highly NOT recommended. It was very dry and there wasn't any real taste of crab though we did see a few small pieces of crab meat. The portion was a lot, which was worse cause to prevent wasting food, we have to force ourselves to finish it.

    Crab Meat Fried Rice
4.15 pm - We went shopping at Platinum Mall Wing 3 thinking it was Palladium World Shopping Mall. There weren't much shops here that sells cheap clothing.

5.35 pm - 1 hour foot massage at Platinum Mall Wing 3. We bargain a little and they allowed us to be cheaper. It was cheaper than the price at Chatuchak and union mall.

Only when we walked out and make our way to Neon Market did we saw Palladium World Shopping Mall sign that was diagonally opposite. OMG!

Crossing the road was a challenge, cause there wasn't any clear pedestrian walkway nearby. We jaywalked together with some stranger to the street opposite Platinum Mall before using the overhead bridge to Palladium World Shopping Mall.

There were many massage parlors on the level we reached and we found out that the price of massage at Palladium World Shopping Mall was much more cheaper even after discount!

The place was quiet, many stores seemed to be closed. We came too late. At the atrium, there were cheap denim clothes on sale. However, it looked like second hand clothes and when I think of the weather in Singapore again, I didn't buy anything.

Palladium Night Market is outside of Palladium World Shopping Mall. We started shopping at stalls at the side of the road beside the shopping mall, walking to Neon Night market direction. There will be cars moving pass, so you need to be careful when shopping there.

The stalls were all the way to the front of Palladium World Shopping Mall and the other side.

There were some cute design T-shirt as usual. Some cute souvenir but price wasn't cheap.

We went to Neon Night market.

There weren't as many stalls as it look like. Or I should say, it didn't take as long as I thought to shop around. At the back, there were many restaurants. Since we end shopping earlier than schedule, we decide to eat our dinner at Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice.

It was starting to drizzle when we have our dinner at Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice. Aren't we lucky to end our night market trip earlier?

Furthermore, there weren't much people in the queue when we arrived. When the rain gets heavy, the queue started to get so much longer.

The rain didn't stop even after dinner. Since we brought umbrella and raincoat, we braved through the rain. The Skywalk wasn't too far so it was still ok.

The rain did splash into the Skywalk, but walking in the middle of the walkway helped.

We saw the cute statue outside The Market and we decided to use the washroom at the Mall (so that in a way, we did go to The Market).

    The washroom was quite stylish.

There were stalls selling beautiful scarves and the price was equally beautiful.

And that was all for the day.
