British Airway
Changi Airport Terminal 1 to Heathrow Airport Terminal 5
Sunday, 20th May 2018, 11.15pm
British Airway provided free earpiece that you can bring it off the airplane. They also provide a blanket that doesn’t look very nice. The safety instruction is interesting. They added humor and short story plot into it, drawing my attention to look through the whole video.
The seat position was not fantastic cause you couldn’t really see through a full frontal window. You need to find a certain angle to take pictures out of the window. (The sunrise view was still nice though.) You couldn’t really lean on the side cause there is a distance between the seats and wall of the plane.
You can watch movies and play games on board. Perhaps I was not used to sleeping on board but it was hard for me to sleep on board.

The air steward on board was friendly and helpful. The toilet was clean enough and the water was warm. However, do note the tap water is not potable (which means you can’t drink it.)
They provided supper and breakfast. The meal included a hot dish, a bottle of water, fruits, and dessert.
Usually, they will provide one round of free drink. Drink included wine, water, apple juice, and orange juice. The juice was sour. Breakfast usually come with a contained orange juice. The juice was also sour but not as sour as those they pour for you.
Some time before landing, the air stewardess will go around asking if anyone needs a landing card. As a Singaporean, you will need it. Basically, you just need to fill in your information and pass it to the officer with your passport during the custom check, which is the first thing you will go through. But don't worry, even if you miss it, they still provide it on ground but you will waste some time.
If you going to London with your family, apparently you can go to the officer together instead of one by one. Even if you go one by one, it is also alright.
If you are bringing your elders along, do inform them about some basic information like what do they come for (i.e. for holiday), how long they will be in town etc.
After the custom check, you can take the escalator down to collect your luggage. Use the washroom and fill up your water bottle at the water cooler before heading out to the train.
Take the lift to go down to the metro.
There weren't many people taking the train that early in the morning.

Look forward to my next post on how I survive my first day in London, luggage and all. I promise there will be more photos.
