Paris Day 3: 26th May 2018 Sat
By 8.52am, we came out of the metro,
Cité. On the left of the entrance was the
Sainte-Chapelle.

Sainte-Chapelle |
We just took a few pictures then walk to Notre Dame Cathedral.
|
Notre Dame Cathedral |
The queue wasn't long when we reach.
|
Short queue |
But by 9.30 am, the line was long at the Cathedral. So if you don't want to wait so long, go early!
|
Long Queue |
We took the wrong route so we missed Shakespeare & Company. But it's okay, cause it was not spring blossom period, so I don't think we missed much.
We walked and bought food from Boulanger Patissier for lunch.

|
We used the toilet at the second floor of
Burger King as we cannot use the toilet at Macdonald. At 11pm, we entered
Luxembourg Gardens, and eat our lunch under the shade.
|
The food was okay. |
After lunch, it was time to take photos!
|
Luxembourg Gardens |
By12.45pm, we took the metro to
Châtelet - Les Halles, and window shopping at
Forum des Halles for a while. There was an open space that acts as a smoking area. There were many benches around, so you can rest your legs if you wish to. There are some seats with USB output where you can charge your stuff!
|
Saw the street art just right outside the exit of the shopping mall. |
At 1.30pm, we walk to
The Centre Pompidou. There wasn't as much exhibition outside as expected. You will have to get pass the security check first, but don't worry, you can use the toilet inside for free even if you don't plan to pay to enter the museum.
|
There wasn't any real sign that it is
The Centre Pompidou but the staircase is a known feature of it. |
Saw some street art on the way.

|
Isn't that a cool dog? |
We visit
Free'P'Star. This place was suppose to have cheap second hand item. The price was cheap, but the place was really cramp. It was hard finding any hidden gem.
We "explored" Jewish quarter of
Le Marais neighbourhood. There were some crowd on the road and in some restaurant that we passed by.
|
Street art |
We didn’t manage to buy food from the famous
L'as du Fallafel as it was closed.
|
L'as du Fallafel |
We went to
Galeries Lafayette. Someone was giving out some free tidbits at the exit of the metro. Lucky!

There were indeed many people. We went to the top floor and see the view for free. There were people but not so crowded till you can't get a view from the railing.

|
Eiffel Tower in sight |
It look a bit gloomy, like it was going to rain, so we decided to go back to airbnb first to rest.
We took the metro to
Trocadéro, and by 9.05pm, we reached
Place du Trocadero to take the sunset view of the Eiffel Tower.
Luckily it didn’t rain. However, the dark clouds looming behind the Tower didn’t give us a fantastic background. Perhaps from the field watching towards Trocadero will have a better background cause there were streaks of warm colours.
|
Finally we get to see the Eiffel Tower! |
When you exit from
Trocadéro, walk towards the
Eiffel Tower. At both sides, will be the staircase where many instagrammers used to take their photos.
There was barrier to prevent people for sitting and standing near the edge but you can still see people climbing over it just to take nice pictures!
At night, the Eiffel will light up. There will be peddlers walking around to sell drinks, including wine. At night, there was music and people dancing at the space between the two grand staircase.
After taking photos and admiring the Eiffel Tower, we went back airbnb.
